Peter J. Mwakyusa and his wife, Mary B. Dittu, are the founders of
Sombyo Financial Services Company Ltd, a company established with the
goal of providing microloan services to entrepreneurs, individuals,
and public servants in Tanzania.
The idea of starting this company began as a long-held dream for
Peter, dating back about thirteen years. Through hard work and
determination, that dream finally became a reality in 2025 when Sombyo
Financial Services Company Ltd was officially registered and obtained
all the necessary licenses to operate in accordance with the law.
Peter J. Mwakyusa holds an advanced degree in Accountancy from TIA in
2010. He also earned a Master Degree of Science in Finance and
Investment (MSc – FI) from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA)
in 2024—a qualification that has played a significant role in the
founding and management of the company
